Becoming a Member at a Local Chapter

If you are interested in becoming a sister of Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc. you can view our chapter information here to see if there is a chapter at your university as well as contact information for that chapter. If there is not a chapter at your university and you are still interested in becoming a sister, please read below for information on starting a chapter at your university.

Interest Group

Chartering a chapter of Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Incorporated is not an easy process but it is one that comes with many rewards. The journey to establishing a chapter of Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc. is comprised of community service, educational opportunities, leadership development, social development and building unity within your interest group and sisters nationwide.

Requirements for membership

1. Scholarship is one of our pillars and we take education very seriously, we require that our members maintain a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent that can be verified by a university official.

2. You may be a first semester freshman to request information and start an official interest group of Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc. but you may not move to the next step of expansion until you obtain 2nd Semester Freshman status.

3. We seek women who are dedicated to serving their community through youth mentorship and encouraging others to attend and succeed in higher education.

4. You must be attending an accredited university or college with full time status working towards your first baccalaureate degree.

5. You must be excited, eager and ready to commit yourself to a lifetime of memorable experiences and lifelong sisterhood with Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc.
